B2B Appointment Setting for Enterprise Accounts: From One Meeting to an Account Inroad
B2B appointment setting books first meetings between your sellers and people who match a buyer description. It suits sales that one person can approve. In an enterprise account one meeting rarely moves the deal, so account-based selling plans the second and third conversation in the same company and counts account inroads, not meetings.

What is B2B appointment setting?
Appointment setting is the work of getting a first conversation into a seller's calendar. A team works a contact list by phone, email and LinkedIn, books the call and hands it over. Where one person can decide and the sale closes in a call or two, it is the right job to hand to someone else, and the result is easy to judge.
How are appointment setting services priced?
Three models are common: a price per meeting, a monthly fee, or a monthly fee plus a price per meeting. We quote no figures here because we found no price list we could verify. Whatever the model, ask what is included (data, tools, mailboxes, the people) and what happens to a meeting that does not take place.
What should count as a qualified appointment?
Agree the definition in writing before the first meeting is booked. Four tests are worth insisting on.
- The company is on a list you approved.
- The person has a part in the decision, not only a matching job title.
- The problem has been named by the buyer, in their own words.
- The meeting was held, not just booked.
Without a written definition, a per-meeting deal turns into an argument about which meetings count.
Why is one meeting not enough in an enterprise account?
A meeting tells you one person gave you half an hour. It does not tell you who else must agree, or whether the company has the problem this year. If that contact has no authority, goes quiet or moves on, the account is back to zero, though the meeting was counted.
An account inroad is a position that survives the loss of any one person. We use a three-part test: two-way conversations with at least two people who have a part in the decision, a problem someone at the company has named in their own words, and a dated next step that involves someone new.

How does Intandemly work?
Intandemly is an account-based selling company, working this way since April 2017, almost ten years. Each client gets a platform and a consultant dedicated to that client, supported by researchers, working a named list of key accounts agreed with you. We are not an appointment setting service: we do not sell meetings and we do not promise a number of them. We report on five KPIs: outreach accounts, coverage rate, active buying committees, active conversations and the value of pipeline generated.
Appointment setting fits when
- One person can approve the purchase
- The sale closes in one or two calls
- Your sellers are short of first conversations
Account-based selling fits when
- Several people must agree before anything is signed
- First meetings happen, second ones do not
- You can name the accounts you want to open
