Outsourced SDR Companies in the UK: How to Shortlist and Compare

There is no independent ranking of outsourced SDR companies in the UK. Decide first whether you need first meetings with many similar buyers or a way into a few large accounts. Then shortlist three providers of that type and put the same seven checks to each, including how they follow UK rules on business email and calls.

Seven checks before you sign

  1. 1

Dedicated or shared Ask whether the SDR on your account works for other clients at the same time, and for how many.

  2. 2

What counts Get the definition of a qualified conversation in writing: an account on your list, a person with a part in the decision, a problem they named, a conversation that took place.

  3. 3

Which accounts Ask who builds the list, and whether you approve every account before outreach starts.

  4. 4

UK rules Ask how the provider follows UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) when it emails and calls business contacts, and whether it screens numbers against the Corporate Telephone Preference Service.

  5. 5

Who owns the pipeline Contacts, notes, conversation history, domains and mailboxes should stay with you when the contract ends.

  6. 6

Term and exit Ask for the minimum term, the notice period, auto-renewal and an exit if the named people leave.

  7. 7

After the first conversation Ask who plans the second and third conversation in the same company, or whether the account is handed back after one call.

What does an outsourced SDR company in the UK do?

It supplies sales development representatives, their tools and their management to start conversations with possible buyers by email, LinkedIn and phone, then passes them to your sellers. For a sale one person can approve in a call or two, a well-run provider is a fair choice.

Should you choose a shared team or a dedicated pod?

A shared team is quick to launch, because the people and process already exist. Its attention is split across clients, and it usually counts meetings. A dedicated pod works only for you and costs more. Either way, meet the person who will write to your buyers before you sign.

Can a provider outside the UK do the work?

Yes, if it has done so before. Ask for clients selling into the UK, the hours the team keeps and who writes the messages. UK rules apply to whoever sends the email or makes the call, so check 4 matters as much for a team abroad as for one in London.

Why does a meeting count rarely open a large account?

A meeting tells you one person gave you half an hour. It does not tell you who else must agree, or whether the company has the problem this year. If that contact goes quiet or moves on, the account is back to zero, though the meeting was counted. In a large account the second and third conversation, with other people in the same company, matter more than the first.

Where does account-based selling fit?

Account-based selling suits a sale where you can name the companies you want and several people in each must agree. Each account is researched, its buying committee is mapped and several people are approached, each with a reason that is true for that company. Progress is counted by account, not by meeting. If one person can buy from you in a week, choose one of the other types.

How does Intandemly work?

Intandemly is an account-based selling company based in Hyderabad, working this way since April 2017, almost ten years. We are not an outsourced SDR company: we do not sell meetings and we do not promise a number of them. Each client gets a platform and a dedicated account-based selling consultant, supported by researchers, working a named account list agreed with you. We have worked with clients based in the UK and South Africa, but have no published UK case study. We report on five KPIs: outreach accounts, coverage rate, active buying committees, active conversations and the value of pipeline generated.

What do outsourced SDR companies in the UK charge?

We found no UK price list that we could verify, so this page quotes no figures. Expect a monthly retainer, a price per meeting or a mix, often with a minimum term. Ask what is included: data, tools, mailboxes and the people. Intandemly works on a monthly engagement, not per meeting. For the scope and price for your account list, talk to us.

  • One person can approve the purchase
  • You need first conversations quickly

Account-based selling is the better choice when

  • Several people must agree before anything is signed
  • First meetings happen, second ones do not
  • You can name the accounts you want to open
From a published case study

BEST SAP sells SAP finance add-ons into MENA and APAC. Our case-study funnel reads: 1,500 connections, 800 accounts reached, 30 positive responses, 22 accounts penetrated. It is not a UK result.

Common questions

Which is the best outsourced SDR company in the UK?

There is no independent ranking. Choose the type of provider first (first meetings or work on named accounts), then compare three of that type on the seven checks above.

Is Intandemly an outsourced SDR company?

No. Intandemly is an account-based selling company based in Hyderabad. We work named accounts and report by account, not as a meeting count.

Do you guarantee a number of meetings?

No. We agree an account list with you and report on progress inside those accounts.

Do the same checks apply in South Africa?

Yes. South African buyers search for outsourced SDR providers too, and we have clients based there. Replace check 4 with a question about South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, and ask a local adviser what it requires.
